It was announced today that the name Dixie Stamped would be changed to “Dolly Parton’s Stampede”. Changes came in lieu of some protest over the show’s heritage qualities in reference to the “Confederacy”. Ms Parton was very much a front runner in the new changes coming. “Our shows currently are identified by where they are located,” Parton said. “Some examples are Smoky Mountain Adventures or Dixie Stampede. We also recognize that attitudes change and feel that by streamlining the names of our shows, it will remove any confusion or concerns about our shows and will help our efforts to expand into new cities.” There has been much discussion with the shows’ name from investors, Wold Choice Investments. Changes have already been made to the show to begin in their new season starting at the end of January. The show currently has locations in Missouri and Myrtle Beach but the new name brings promise of new domestic as well as international openings. Social Media sites have already adopted the change.
Should Dolly have kept the name as it was? Are you excited to visit the new attraction? Will the sides be called east or west instead of north and south? Does this mean we will witness a stampede of Dollys? Let us know your thoughts by posting here or shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
