Christmas at Smoky Mountain Opry
You can see it from the road at Christmas time they’ve already go all their lights up pretty spectacular.
Its very Grande as you walk in the Foyer has a very tall ceiling fully 30 ft with two chandeliers hanging down Christmas tree back in the middle oh and there’s Santa Claus in front of the tree.
Ticket office to the right concessions straight ahead and there’s an entrance on either side around the ceiling wall. There are pictures of old singers: Ray Charles, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Lionel Richie and many others.
On the left side as you walk in there is a store with merchandise a lot of Christmas stuff right now. If you come back to see their regular Smoky Mountain Opry Show, you will have your pick of different items.
You can get your photograph taken walking into the auditorium.
The auditorium is Theater seating there seems to be plenty of legroom in each seat not just at the front like most theaters Christmas music playing. To be honest the building looks brand-new on the in side.
There is an intermission halfway through the show for 15 minutes at this time you can get your photographs that you had taking on the way into the auditorium and purchase CDs off the show.
Christmas at Smoky Mountain Opry: Part 1
First half of the show was absolutely amazing such professional powerful voices a true family-orientated variety show that I really enjoyed very funny in some parts the second half has a lot to live up to. At the end of the first half they are offering electric candles one for $10 or three for $20 to light up in the second half when they celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus. All proceeds go to the giving charities, in the past 4 years they have given $450,000 to their charities.
Christmas at Smoky Mountain Opry Intermission
Small delay at this time as I check out the snack bar. Very important.
Ok so now back to your regularly scheduled program.
Christmas at Smoky Mountain Opry: Part II
The second half began with a winter wonderland scenery where they did several songs and again, very much a professional variety show. They had lots of dancing, some aerobatics, even a Snowman and magician. Near the end they had a magnificent rendition of the Christmas story.
